PRIVACY POLICY

Punk Rock Tacos is a DIY punk community in the Chicago area. This website exists to tell you about shows. It is not a store, it has no accounts, and it is not in the business of collecting information about you.

The short version

We don't ask you for personal information and we don't run advertising trackers. We do use Google Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read, which sets cookies. We can't identify you by name from any of it.

What we collect directly

Nothing. There are no forms, sign-ups, logins, or newsletter boxes on this site. If you email us, we'll have whatever you put in that email — we use it to write back and nothing else.

What our service providers see

Like any website, loading a page means your browser talks to servers we don't own. Those companies keep standard technical logs, which can include your IP address, browser type, and the pages you requested. We use them to run the site, not to profile visitors.

• Google Analytics counts visits — see the Analytics section below.

Fonts are served from our own domain rather than loaded from Google, so visiting this site does not tell Google you were here.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is being used — how many people came, which pages they looked at, roughly where in the world they were, and whether they were on a phone or a laptop. It helps us know whether posting a show here is worth the effort.

Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and collects your IP address to do this. We see it only as aggregated statistics, never as a list of individual people, and we don't combine it with anything else or sell it. See Google's privacy policy.

If you'd rather not be counted, most browsers can block analytics cookies, and Google offers an opt-out browser add-on. Browsers with tracker blocking built in already stop it.

Cookies

The only cookies on this site are the Google Analytics ones described above. We set none of our own — no logins, no preferences, no advertising or session-recording pixels.

Links to other sites

Show pages link out to bands, venues, and record labels. Once you follow one of those links you're on someone else's site, under their privacy policy, not ours.

Photos of shows

Flyers and show photos we post may include images of people at our events. If you're in a photo here and want it taken down, email us and we'll remove it.

Children

Our shows are usually all ages, and so is this site. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included.

Changes

If we add anything that changes this — a mailing list, ticketing, a merch store — we'll update this page and change the effective date at the top.
